BoastKit: DisarM, It's not weird - in most case you just don't understand how it works - first on technical basis, 2nd on economics. 1st of all it's lots of work which not gonna be paid. Plus it's risky work - messing with wallets in any case always brings security issues.

BoastKit: DisarM, Like I told you - you have no f,ckin idea how it works. It's not single wallet - there's whole infrastructure. It's a living ecosystem - you just don't install any random software on exchanges servers to take it simple. No point into getting deep into technicals. Short answer - not gonna happen. And it's not only about work. If some wallet is offline - there's reason for it in most cases.

DisarM: BoastKit, how can an exchange a 100th of the size of YoBit have more wallets enabled? What are they doing with funds generated from trading?

BoastKit: DisarM, Some changed wallets without telling Yobit, some changed algo, some were 51% attacked, some devs dumped coins - there's 1000 of reasons why wallets are offline. You just want your few pennies to get out...

DisarM: i know yobit is old, but it's still a top 50 CEX. If there's an active trading market open still, I expect deposits/withdraws to work, isn't that fair?

BoastKit: DisarM, Maybe this exchange have small amounts of certain crypto and would not be forced to pay for crypto (which went out of blockchain due to technical f.ckup by devs) just to let you withdraw it ?

BoastKit: DisarM, Yobit is one of few if not the only one exchange - that don't delist crypto. In most cases you would just be left with nothing in mentioned cases - coins would be delisted (as happened thousand of times on other exchanges) and your balance would be 0. At least you can trade it locally till this day/

DisarM: I respect they don't delist and allow local trading, but coins like $IXC and $NVC, nothing is wrong with them, blockchains are still up and community still active, they're just small, I wish they'd enable tx's for them

BoastKit: DisarM, Let me take it straight. Yobit has strict policy about listing coins and updating wallets. They require devs to pay for updates. So... nope, not gonna happen.

BoastKit: DisarM, KBC deposit is off. Plus it's ERC20 token so it doesn't require additional wallet. It works on ETH which is one of primary wallets and it's first to update behind BTC. Both of your mentioned cryptos are coins with their own blockchains. Totally different story. You don't get it that every one coin/token has "it's own story" - it's different reasons for most of them why they are offline.

DisarM: sorry i meant $KBC withdraws are still available, not deposits. And true, i know it's ERC20 and I'm asking for native blockchains to be re-enabled, which needs syncing to work, but yobit has the tools and funds to make it work, would make so many people happy to be able to transact OG coins again, I miss it!

BoastKit: DisarM, Mostly top ones - that were maintenance due to technical reasons like ETH, TRX or XRP

BoastKit: DisarM, and take in mind that in most cases "maintenance" is just used cause there is no other state/word in system - but for most means offline. Permanent. "true" maintenance happens only for top ones like mentioned avove.
